Lis Wehl has been a US legal analyst for several years. She is also an experienced author. She has written both non-fictional and fictional works. She previously worked for NBC News as a journalist and for National Public Radio's All Things Considered. New York Times best-selling author She has written 18 books. One of these is Hunting Charles Manson. Lis Was Wiehl, an Washington resident born in Yakima and brought up with her family by their parents. She received her diploma from Yakima's West Valley High School. Barnard College Columbia University, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1983. She earned her postgraduate MA in Literature at Queensland University in 1985. Harvard Law School awarded her an honorary doctorate in 1987.
