Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is a British-American sitarist as well as a music producer. She was the youngest and first female to win an award from the British House of Commons Shield she has had nine Grammy Awards nominations and was the first musician of Indian of Indian descent to perform live on stage and also act as a host at the award ceremony. Born in London in 1982 and began her life by hopping back and forth to London in London and New Delhi. The first time she performed was on stage in New Delhi when she was thirteen years old. After moving to Encinitas, the state of California, in 1999 she earned the high-school certificate. Anouskha's career as a recorder and performer is impressive, despite her young age. She frequently joins her father in performances this she's done for a number of years. She released her debut single album Anourag in the year 1998. The following year, she released the Grammy nominated Live in Carnegie Hall. Her stage career is very vast as she has performed in most of the biggest venues in the world.
